The housing stock in Monmouth County is made up mostly of single-family homes coming in a wide range of sizes and prices. However, condos and townhomes have also been rising in the area, particularly in the boroughs of Little Silver and Red Bank.
The area has also continued to see a number of new construction as more and more people move here for the convenient access to New York City, as well as for the high quality of life.
Condos for sale in Little Silver and Red Bank
There are very few residential high-rises in the Rumson peninsula. While condo developments have been gaining popularity here, most of these are low to mid-rise structures built in traditional styles to blend in seamlessly with the communities’ resort-town feel.
Some of the residential buildings in the Red Bank and Little Silver boroughs are converted historical homes. While they’ve been equipped with the latest amenities and features, they have retained their distinct vintage charm that adds to their appeal.
Many condos can be found close to the downtown area, offering excellent access to offices, schools, and the town’s amenities. But quite a few luxury condos are built on the waterfront, offering breathtaking river views and easy access to the water while being only minutes away from downtown.
Prices for waterfront condos are generally on the upper end of the scale, but are more affordable compared to single-family homes in the same area.
Most condos come with a homeowners’ association membership and an HOA fee, which goes to the upkeep and maintenance of the common grounds (and sometimes home exteriors), as well as the neighborhood’s security.
New construction
New constructions in Rumson, Fair Haven, Little Silver, and Red Bank are a combination of single-family homes, condos, and townhomes.
Newly built single-family homes boast upscale features and beautiful architecture by some of the country’s leading custom home builders. They come in a wide range of styles that include ranch, Colonial Revival, and custom. You get the choice of living near the water or closer to the many amenities of the downtown area.
New homes along the riverbanks command the highest prices. Sitting on large lots measuring around 2 acres or more, they offer fantastic views of the river and great water access. The spacious backyards can accommodate a dock for boats, jet skis, and other watercraft.
Newly constructed condos and townhomes in the communities of Little Silver and Red Bank offer more affordable options without scrimping on living space, comfort, and beauty. Typical features include chef’s kitchens, hardwood floors, spacious walk-in closets, open floor plans, state-of-the-art appliances and fixtures, and many more.
Some of the “newly constructed” homes on the market have been built around 10 years or so ago, but are being offered to buyers for the first time.
